Free MN Permit Practice Test 6 2023

To get a learner’s permit and eventual driver’s license in Minnesota, you’ll need to pass a written knowledge test after completing a classroom driver’s education course, if you’re a minor. The written exam is 40 multiple-choice questions based on information from the 2023 Minnesota Driver’s Manual, and you’ll need to score an 80% or higher to pass. Minors are also required to sign up for a behind-the-wheel class to be taken once they have their permit and before they can take their driving test and get a provisional license. Your first two attempts for both the written and driving tests are free, though you’ll be required to pay fees for any subsequent retesting after those two initial attempts. At the DVS, you’ll need to be ready to take a vision test and provide proof of identity and state residency. No matter your age, you must first start the licensing process with a permit. If you’re a minor, you’ll also be required to hold the permit for at least six months. Those 19 and over will need to have a permit for only three months before they can move on to a full license. This DVS practice test can help you study and pass your written knowledge exam.
